Body and Soul.
In celebration of Amy Winehouse's 28th birthday today, here is her last recording and video with the amazing Tony Bennett entitled "Body and Soul". All proceeds of the song will go to the charity set in Amy's name that aids those struggling with alcoholism, depression, and drug abuse. Jazz music definitely strikes a cord with me and Amy's voice was truly timeless. It's still a shame that we will only have the music that she left us... #RIP

Knockin Your Heels Off.
I'm a 80's baby that lived in the 90s era, and my ears are susceptible to Baby Making Music. That R&B music that sets the mood and gets the panties dropping.. or in this case music that "Knocks Your Heels Off". This song by Pretty Ricky has the old school baby making groups like H-Town (Knocking the Boots) and
Jodeci (Feenin).
Jodeci- Feenin
H-Town - Knockin the Boots
Lets talk about Jodeci, times are rough I see. I know they have been struggling with the rocks, but damn what happened to Devante? D looks like he has been chewing on the rocks, he used to be cute now he is missing all of his teeth.
Pretty Ricky... nothing really needs to be said, I'm always SMH at them. Spectacular and his ridiculous facial expressions gets another SMH.If you close your eyes though, I will say the song is pretty good. It takes me back.. what do you guys think?

Janet: Up Close and Personal.
It has been four days and I am still on a natural high from the Janet Jackson: Up Close and Personal Tour. One thing to love about Janet is she brings every one together, from race to sexual orientation it was all L-O-V-E in the building. This is one of the reasons I love Janet so much! It all started with a "Scream" montage with her and Michael Jackson playing once it ended Janet Jackson emerged from the dark and sang and danced to "Pleasure Principle"... the crowd went nuts including myself!
There was no wondering if I would know a song or not.. Janet did all of her #1's which basically meant it was a huge party with non stop dancing and singing. My favorite part of the show was when Janet slowed it down and performed her slower numbers like , "Nothing" and "Again". It was such a intimate show and you felt that Janet was singing directly to you, and you felt her warm genuine spirit the whole way through.
One thing that I noticed is at 45 years old, this woman is hitting every dance move and is ACTUALLY singing and she sounded better and looked better than ever. I had the pleasure of seeing Janet Jackson back in 2008 for the "Rock Wit You Tour" and though there was many costume changes and visuals at the Staples Center, I thought this tour was 10x better because you felt connected to Janet and it was more about her and the fans.
Jermaine Jackson was in the house to support his baby sister and the fans went wild and snapped photos of him while he went to take a seat. One of the most memorable and touching moments of the show was the finale when she performed "Together Again". The music started and in the jumbo screen behind her showed a picture of her and Michael when they were children, at that point I started to get emotional because it was such a beautiful moment. Everyone jumped out of their seat and clapped their hands while "Everywhere I go every smile I see I know you are there smiling back at me dancing in moonlight I know you are free cuz I can see your star shining down on me", you felt the energy at that last moment which was very special.
Hands down the best concert I have ever been to and I would pay my life savings to catch Janet again. To the Britney Spears and Rihanna's take a step and watch how its done, Janet Jackson is a living icon and legend and I am honored that I had to opportunity to see her twice.
I love you Janet Dammita Jo Jackson!
